Eating Out Part III: Dempsey Hill

This is the little book I log our food adventures in – what to order, what not to order, what is overpriced, where has great decor or amazing service, etc.


Patatas bravas with chorizo from the Disgruntled Chef ($8)


Crab meat aglio olio linguine from the Disgruntled Chef (Part of the 3 course set lunch at $29++)


Pulled pork and raclette sandwich from Jones the Grocer ($13.50)


Char Siew puffs from Chop Suey ($9)

Shao xing chicken from Chop Suey wrapped in paper ($18)


Roasted chicken with cinnamon salt from Chop Suey ($25)


Gambas a la sal from the Disgruntled Chef – 5 humongous king/tiger prawns, grilled perfectly ($18)


This really luscious chocolate fondant cake with bruleed banana slices and vanilla bean ice cream (part of the lunch set at $29++)

These were all really, really good. The restaurants range from only a handful of options because I don’t particularly crave mexican or Italian all that much at lunch – prefer small plates of tapas or dim sum, or soup/sandwiches.
