We were visiting the Bibiana children’s museum of art in Bratislava when we stumbled upon a children’s book in Italian about a raccoon and a badger.
Raccoons in Italian are known as “orsetti lavatori”, i.e’. little washerbears’ because of this little habit – they wash their food at rivers and streams before consumption.
so adorable. i never knew that. my italian prof.ssa did tell us about it before, but i forgot all about it until we saw the name of the raccoon in the the book.
